Phuket

Thailand has been one of the most popular holiday-spots in Asia for many years now. Phuket, (pearl of the South) Thailand’s biggest island, is connected to the mainland by a bridge and derived its wealth from exporting tin and rubber. This tourist hotspot can be found in the Andaman sea 867 kilometres south of Bangkok, and was once part of one of the most important trade routes between India and China, which can still be seen in the colonial architecture of many trading houses that were built during this period. These beautiful pieces of architecture have been admired by many people ever since. The international airport of Phuket can be found approximately 32 kilometres from the capital city.
The capital city (Phuket) is blessed with white palm beaches, crystal clear seas, and fabulous bays. The people are friendly and accommodations are usually of exceptionally high quality; when it comes to food, fish and seafood are a local specialty. Phuket offers numerous sport facilities, but also many lovely architectural pieces that were built in ancient Portuguese style.
Patong Beach, 15 kilometres from the capital city, is often described as the most cultivated beach on the island. Patong is known for its huge variety of highly appreciated facilities in the fields of relaxation, water sports, shopping, entertainment, but also for its exciting nightlife and its many cosy bars and fish restaurants.
Thailand: the perfect option for people who want to experience the Asian culture, nature, and freedom at its best.
